00 Dear Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Goodness. Lord, there's been a lot going on with all the homies, myself included. So I'm just thankful that through it all, you've kept your hand around us. Yes.

01 So we just know that the joy of the Lord is our strength, God, to let us continue to rest in you, God, and draw our strength upon you and have our hope and our faith in you, God. And you will continue to give us strength to mount up wings like eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not grow faint, God. And so we're just going to continue to do our part, Lord, the best that we can and put in that effort and that drive, Lord. We're just going to ask for you to show up with that other half, that other hole, that other double holes, that other quadruple holes, God.

03 Amen. Lord, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. I know we've been talking about the different things that we plan to do, and it's really just sparked that creative side to me. Like, just being able to bring content that is quality in terms of production. Right.

07 I mean, you got to come out with something or else I just wasted your time. Right. You know, and I feel like nowadays we get so much like fluff, so many taglines or buzzwords from people, but no true content that's transformative. Bro, it's all about memes, laughing and making you feel good, but not really, really isn't what's going to make you feel good. Exactly.

09 Mm-hmm. And in the third day. But on the third day, what if you feel like, man, I don't feel it. And you stop at that fourth day. Yeah.

13 Right. That generation, our generation is the first one that's been raised by parents who did not force us all to go to church. We still had some that did it, but it was like half in, half out, or it was like, we'll go some of the time, but not all of the time. Right.

15 Yeah. Because each day they went one time around the city. And then on the seventh day, you didn't just double it. You didn't triple it. You didn't quadruple it. You went from one time around the city to seven times around the city. And here's what's crazy. They had to keep the same energy and passion through all seven times around the city. Because as they were playing the trumpets and their instruments when the walls fell. Right.

16 Yep. Right. And that's it. You don't have OSUT. OSUT, that's 14. Right. Yeah. And depending on what your MOS is, you will be a bit closer, but you got seven days in a week, you got 10 weeks, that's 70 days. Yeah.

16 40 days. So seven times seven is 49. So what Pentecost was supposed to be was essentially seven weeks after Passover in our calendar. Right. Right.

17 they did back in the 1700s because we're so used to now having technology to do all the work for us. Yeah. That's crazy, bro.

18 He takes them, brings them back, right? Gives them a place to stay, gives them food, gives them knowledge, teaches them, turns them into like true old-fashioned gentlemen, right? He turns them into Classic Man and then he sends them back out. Now they come back out with the suits on, with the canes, with their awesome money. And they're able to go impact society for the positive. And so that's essentially what I want to do here. That's what our goal is, is for us to take people who are dealing with being emotionally unavailable, not being able to show up in their relationships, with not being good parents.

19 By the time I got to my phone, we didn't get a phone to blue phase, maybe. Yeah. You know, so all of those weeks without it, before I ever find out, like my people had to figure it out, figure out how to resolve it. But I was so disconnected. And then, man, by the time I did get my phone, I didn't want it. Yeah, you get that one phone call and I said, this is your pocket. It's like, man, all that does is pull me back and make me sad for the rest of the day.

22 Who was that? Who was that? It was a toothbrush. Whole platoon got wiped out. No joke. I believe it. So literally men were dead over a Bluetooth toothbrush because they were able to track them down. But don't you know they got drones in 2025 they fight and whip? Literally, you know?

24 Yeah. And I'm like, bro, we are still soldiers. Like you got something that do care. Don't get me wrong. Yeah. You got something that want to make it happen. But oh my goodness, the amount of people who treat it like it's a game. It's a game.

26 And the crazy part was him and I hung out because I worked and he worked. So we had a little bit of money. So I refused to be broke in college. You're right. That was my thing. So everybody else eating ramen, I refused. So I had my first semester, 18 credit hours. I had work study in the department. So we were all only authorized 10 hours originally. So I went and got a second job. I got a job working night shift at FedEx. Okay.

26 I had either class or work study. Yeah. Do what I had to do. Go to lunch. And then after I had the opposite. So if I had class in the morning, I had work study. If I had work study in the morning, I had class. Afternoon. Right.

26 Oh, bro. I was trying to find a source. But I was so, I wanted to have what I wanted to have in my paper. Yeah, you want to have complete. That's what I'm, yeah, what was complete to me. Yeah, right, right, right. So I was willing to take a lower score in exchange for knowing my paper was what I wanted it to be. Yeah. Because this is my paper. Question. Yeah, go for it. Does the army make us perfectionist? If it didn't make you a perfectionist, you weren't in long enough. Man. Or it didn't work.

28 Right. Well, that's the one thing about it. I think a lot of it is because I feel like people from New York are very honest and very bold what they got to say. Yeah.

29 Whether it's the team leader. When they're a packing list. Through all the stuff. Yeah. I mean. I mean, I know we're out of basic, right? And I know that you can sometimes throw them extra things in there. Okay.

34 Like making sure you don't have a blue tooth box. Absolutely. Like goodness. And so we both love the Spartans, right? Yeah. Like the 300 Spartans. I do love Michigan State, but I know we got a lot of Michigan fans, Ohio State fans around here. Especially a lot of my friends and people who've tuned into this are Michigan fans, but the original Spartans, King Leonidas, and what made their structure so strong, that phalanx. That phalanx, yeah.

35 And the thing about a riot shield is we run that same principle. Now it's about 15% of coverage. But if one person doesn't do it, that's the person who's getting kicked. Yeah.

39 So we were cross-trained with the Marines. Okay. Right? So you had a bunch of Marines who thought they were hot shit. Right? And I get it. Listen. Compared to a civilian, yes. All right?

40 And he was a cook in the Navy. And everybody used to make fun of him. Ah, you didn't serve. You was in there cooking a food. You ain't do nothing. Right.

40 It was a comedian. He's sitting there, and he had somebody from the army sitting there. And I forgot the code, but they were a field hygiene specialist. What? What is what? I never such heard. Facts.

41 Right. And then one of our guys, man. Oh, it's awful cross seas. We had two guys with the same name. So one of our guys went back to get his stuff. And he got the wrong stuff. Wrong bag.

42 you did everything all day with from playing cards together, talking together, drinking together, walking to the PX together. Bro. Yeah. And you come back and you're like, man, yeah, y'all my family. For real.

43 most education per se, but once they got in, they conformed and they did everything right. But once they got out and you go into a world that, okay, you don't have education, you don't know how to explain what you did, you're squared away, but they got a bunch of problems that you want to fix, but they don't understand why you want to fix them. They're smarter than you. They're better than you. They got a degree. Right.

44 He's worked his way up to the ranks though. Exactly. He's worked recently. Because he's been over 20. He did 18 years active before he even went reserve. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's a whole different side. You know, if I can say that, man, it's a whole different world being from reserves to active, bro. Yeah. For unfortunately. Man.

48 Right. Yeah. So y'all handling your business going forward. And if we sleeping in the back, we did. And y'all did. We did. Yeah. We all did.

51 Right. Right. Reclassing and. And you had a lot of people who couldn't handle the fitness. Right. Yeah. And they just, man, are they, they mentally weren't there. And once you got to MPs, everybody was in shape. Mm hmm. Everybody was pretty smart. They weren't always the brightest crayon in the coloring box, but they had a bit of common sense, at least, or a little bit of smarts. You know?

54 a black American, right. Like in America and a lot of people tell you, you should be afraid of police. Right. Mm hmm. And I had, I had an interaction, um, with police recently and he thought I was nervous because he was a white cop and I'm sitting here freaking out. Yeah.

54 You can't trust this or man. Most of us just want to do what's right. Yeah. Yeah. You know what they didn't notice? They didn't realize that you get charged twice. Yeah. Oh my God.

57 the most up-to-date content. Don't get caught slipping. Stay connected. We'll see you right here, Classic Man Podcast, next time. We'll see you next time.
